Oriflame Pure Color Lipstick Vintage Nude & Vintage Rose Review and Swatch

Hello Dearies,

I am just in love with Lippies right now so am just hoarding them like a madman . .:P

But yeah I’ve bought two new Lippies for myself . .Both from Oriflame . .And am planning to buy another as I am simply loving these Teeny Weeny lipsticks. .

Oriflame Pure Color Lipsticks
Price : 99/-

Packaging
It looks very cheap. A very easily breakable transparent plastic cap over a black twist up lipstick case is what we get. Now I feel at this price range Avon gives way better quality packaging . So I am not a fan of these in matter of packaging.
Texture
These are very smooth on lips and do not dry them . .They are glossy and not at all matte . These two shades do not have any shimmer in them.
Staying Power
Well, For me these stay like 3 hours max. As these two are very light shades they seem to last up to 3 hours. These do not settle in fine lines and do not leave a tint. I feel the darker shades may stay longer. Lets see I’m planning to buy a hot pink or a red from this range . .:)

Now Moving on to the Individual Shades:

Oriflame Pure Colors Vintage Nude
The color is a Nude Color . .With slight pink undertone . .It is very sheer and you need to swipe multiple times to get the desired color. Not Suitable for pigmented lips and does not stay for more than 3 hours. At this price I get more staying power plus quantity and more variety in colors. But am not complaining as this suited me very much. I would love doing a heavy eye makeup and then using this lippie as to balance the whole look . . Plus this makes the perfect MLBB for me . .

Oriflame Pure Colors Vintage Rose
Vintage Rose is very similar to Vintage Nude but with a good amount of pink in it . .It is too a very light everyday pink. This color is sheer too and need multiple swipes to get the full color. Again not suitable for pigmented lips. This is also a great shade to balance a heavy makeup look. Both of these shades are good for daily wear but not suitable for longwear. These are cheap so if you are starting out on lipsticks or want a handy sized lippie to use as a touch up lipstick then try these . .

Now the Swatches:
With Flash

And Now Without Flash

Pro’s:

  • Cheap 99/- each
  • Sheer Finish which means you wont need to top it with gloss
  • Many colors to choose from
  • Does not dry out lips

Cons:

  • Staying power is low . .
  • Has a smell . .Well at first I could not recognize the smell it resembled and then I realized it smells like the Fair And Lovely creams
  • No ingredient list
  • Does not come sealed . .I so wish they would make these sealed like the Avon ones.
  • Packaging looks cheap and the transparent cap is prone to breakage

Final Verdict:I feel they are cute in their cute little casing and do decent job. They are 2.5gm each so I would have expected more pigmentation and staying power. But they are great for newbies who want to try out different shades without burning a hole in their pocket. For me, they will be going in my purse and staying there cause I’ll be using them as a backup(touch-up) lipstick when I’m outside. I don’t prefer carrying the lippies with me as I tried to keep the Bronze Orange one from Maybelline and it melt . . 🙁
As this one is so cheap I won’t mind if they melted . .:P

Now How the Shades Look On Me

Hope you like these shades and do tell which one you like best

With Love
