Imagine something Orange, Round and with a tangy smell … What came to you mind? An orange Right ? Well, today I talk about an orange in a Tub. Well, not an orange- a Satsuma. It’s become so Humid and hot here in Kolkata that applying anything with oil is like Torturing myself. But since the drying Air conditioner air has been making my skin a bit rough I had to take some action. I started by applying The Body Shop Raspberry Body butter , but Gosh it was so heavy and I literally was sweating once I came out of AC. So I had to look for something lighter but still nourishing . Then, I remembered I got a small pack of Satsuma Body butter from a Blog sale. So I started using it for the last two weeks and here’s what I felt . Let’s get to The Body shop Satsuma Body Butter Review without further delay :

This rich and creamy Body Butter is a feast for the skin. It melts straight in to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. It contains Community Fair Trade shea butter and smells of fresh satsuma.
• 24-hour hydration
• Great for normal to dry skin
• Fresh satsuma scent
Packaging of The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter :
The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter comes in a bright yellow screw lid plastic tub which is travel friendly . I don’t really like Tub packaging products as they are more unhygienic, but it is easy to use and you can use the last drop of product. The product information is mentioned at the back and the packaging is user-friendly too.

Review of The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter :
The Body Shop body Butters are one os the most sought after Body care products in india and I’ve previously loved their Body butters, shower gels and body lotions. So I was definitely excited to try out The Body Shop Satsuma Body butter.
The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter is something I was never too keen to try. I have a very sensitive nose anything too tangy or too Strong is definitely not for me. I got this from a Blog sale as I said earlier, just to try it out once. I definitely felt the fragrance was way too strong , stronger than what my raspberry one smells. The Raspberry one has a faint smell, whereas this one is Strong and Citrus-Y. While I know some find it very soothing and refreshing I did not personally like it.
The texture of the Body butter definitely was great for Summer since it was less heavy and less oily , unlike my Raspberry one, which is apt for Winters only. The texture is smooth, buttery and seeps into skin with ease. The best time to apply is just after taking shower, while your skin is still wet. The moisture seeps in deep and keep skin hydrated for as long as six to seven hours which is great. It does not feel greasy or sticky.
Pros and Cons of The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter :
- Attractive packaging
- Light Buttery Texture
- Use of Fair Trade Products like Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter
- Contains Vitamin E and Vitamin A , Antioxidants
- Refreshing Citrus Smell
- Fragrance is a bit Overpowering for Me
- The Hydration will not be adequate for Winters
All in all The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter is a light, silk-textured body butter that melts into the skin and keeps it hydrated. Since it uses Fair Trade community Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter it is good for skin and for many the fragrance is the reason they pick it . For me personally it was way too Tangy, way too Citrus-y , but the fragrance did linger for an hour or two and then faded into a very subtle fruity smell. I had the 50Ml pack, but I’ll definitely look for other options with a more subtle fragrance.
Have You Used Satsuma The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter ? Did you Like it ? Or do you too feel the Fragrance is Too Tangy ?
