BBlunt Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour – Honey Light Golden Brown Review

Hello Everyone,

Coloring my hair has always been something I’ve neglected. I have pitch black hair and grays are yet to make me uneasy (*Touchwood*) , and I really love my dark black mane, so it was something I always skipped. But when I got the chance to try out the new BBlunt Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour in Honey Light Golden Brown I was thrilled, and that’s because of the unique Shine tonic.

BBlunt Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour in Honey Light Golden Brown Review

Before you read the rest, I want to show you how my hair looked before the coloring : I have dark , black waist length straightened hair . I straightened it in September this year so it’s been a month and a half since my straightening. I have naturally fine hair that’s manageable and shiny, without much dryness.

The Box :

The BBlunt hair color comes in a one time use pack, priced at Rs 199 as an introductory price. The hair color  box has five items within it, the colorant, the developer, the unique shine tonic, a pair of plastic gloves and instruction manual.

My Experience:

The color BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Color Honey Light Golden Brown is one of the light shades from the lot. The pack has three main tubes with the developer tube being the biggest one. The instructions suggested to use a glass bowl to mix, so I used a glass bowl for mixing. First I wanted to just highlight one section of my hair, but then i thought about using the color to different parts of my hair to give it a bit more depth and texture. (Trying to sound like my Hairdresser 😛 ). I wanted to try the lightest shade since I wanted to try how they fare on jet black hair, and I was looking forward to add a warm brown shade to my hair.

So, here are some pictures to provide you with a hint of how the whole coloring journey went. It was super easy and very less messy, the color is thick and gooey and it did not drip at all.

The three Tubes looked spectacular and obviously I got carried away with clicking pictures, they look superb in both the pictures, so I decided to put both in the post 😛

Ahhhh. The best part in my opinion, Squeeze baby Squeeze !

And Now, for the Shine tonic! I was delighted to see the shine tonic, which was a small tube with a transparent gel-like liquid.

I hoped it would keep my tresses feeling silky.

Then I mixed the three items together quickly before I started applying the color on my hair.

Then I sectioned my hair in parts and applied the color from root to the hair tips.
The formula was a non-drip one, which was a great relief.

The final result was a nice touch of color that my camera was unable to pic up directly, you can see the hint of color through the picture clicked on #iPhone7 plus.

After a few tries with the Canon DSLR, I finally got an image that represented the color. (Not satisfactorily though)

You can see the color in the picture below clicked in direct sunlight(please excuse my unruly hair I had just woken up )

Final words:

If you’re looking for hair color that is easy to use and provides great coverage for your grays, go for BBLUNT Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour. If you love honey brown shades in your hair, go for this shade. But beware, if you have waist length hair you will need two to three boxes to get full color.

Until next time,
